An Electric Vehicle (EV) is a vehicle that uses one or more electric motors for propulsion.

There are three main types of EVs. They are the Battery Electric Vehicles (BEVs), the Plug-in Hybrid Electric Vehicles (PHEVs) and the Hybrid Electric Vehicles (HEVs).

You can charge your electric vehicle using standard home outlets, 208-240V outlets (AC Charger), or dedicated 480V+ public fast chargers (DC Fast Charging).

The two main types of EV chargers available in Malaysia are determined by their power outputs. They are categorized into AC Fast Chargers and Level 3 (DC Fast Chargers).

The time it takes to charge depends on your drive and the size of the battery. To charge a 40kWH car, AC Fast Chargers will require approximately 4-8 hours of charging time, and DC Fast Chargers (Level 3) will require approximately 0.5-2 hours of charging time.

Both AC Fast Chargers and DC Fast Chargers (Level 3) are suitable, depending on the availability of time length. AC Fast Chargers will take up a longer time to charge compared to DC Fast Chargers.
