1. Definitions and Interpretation
   1. In these Terms and Conditions, the following words shall have the meaning respectively ascribed to them:
      1. “buySolar” refers to OpenSys Technologies Sdn Bhd.
      2. “Referrer” means an individual who refers a customer to sign up for buySolar Residential Solar
      3. “Referee” means an individual who was referred by a Referrer to sign up for buySolar Residential Solar
2. How the Program works?
   1. Program Participation
      1. To participate in the Program, a Referrer can share referee’s contacts to our authorized buySolar Sales Consultants and Customer Experience Specialists. Please note that Referrers cannot refer themselves.
      2. The alternative way is to visit https://www.buysolar.my/referral/ and provide your friend’s name and contact number in the referral form.
      3. An "Eligible" Referrer who is fully compliant with these Terms and Conditions may receive "Reward(s)" for every "Qualified Referral” (all terms in quotes to be understood as defined below).
      4. All Referees are entitled to a free consultation by buySolar.
      5. This program is valid from 1 January – 31 December 2024.
   2. Eligible Referrer
      1. To be “Eligible”, a Referrer must:
         1. be 21 years old and above;
         2. be a legal resident of Malaysia;
         3. share referee’s contact(s) via the methods mentioned in 2.A above; and
         4. agree to the buySolar Residential Solar Referral Program Terms and Conditions
   3. Eligible Referee
      1. To be “Eligible”, a referee must:
         1. be 21 years old and above;
         2. have a residential address in Peninsular Malaysia & is interested to sign up for buySolar Residential Solar.
         3. Whose friend (Referrer) has provided his/her contact info through buySolar referral form in https://www.buysolar.my/referral/ or has provided his/her contact info to our authorized buySolar Sales Consultants and Customer Experience Specialists.
   4. Earning Rewards
      1. A Referrer can refer as many friends as he/she wants and would be rewarded based on the number of Qualified Referrals.
      2. For each Qualified Referral who purchased a Solar PV system, the Referrer is entitled to a Touch n’ Go eWallet Voucher worth RM100.
   5. Claiming of Rewards
      1. Once the Qualified Referral is verified, buySolar’s customer experience team will contact the Referrer and the voucher will be issued to the Referrer within fourteen (14) working days.

General Terms & Conditions

buySolar reserves the right to (at its own discretion) disqualify any participant and/or withhold or confiscate in full or part of the Referral Program if:

1. The participant is found to be, or reasonably suspected of participating in any form of fraudulent practices (including but not limited to false identities, doctoring images, willful spamming or manipulation of any buySolar’s processes, or website); and/or
2. The redemption request is found to have been made via other channels, made outside of the Redemption Period, or are fraudulent, against the spirit of the Referral Program, or non-compliant with the Referral Program terms and conditions.

In the event of disputes, buySolar’s decision shall be final. Where we suspect a participant is participating in any form of unlawful and/or fraudulent activity, we reserve the right to report such activity or suspicions to the police or relevant authorities.

Participating in this Referral Program does not guarantee the approval of the SEDA NEM application. buySolar reserves the right as it deems fit to vary or change any of these Referral Program terms and conditions from time to time or cancel, terminate, withdraw, suspend and/or replace this Program with another similar program with prior notice. Such variation, changes, cancellation, termination, withdrawal, suspension and/or replacement will be notified by posting on buySolar’s website, social media or in any other manner as buySolar deems fit.

Privacy Policy

Our goal is to maintain your trust and confidence when handling personal information about you. The security of your personal information is our priority. We protect this information by maintaining procedural safeguards that meet Malaysia’s PDPA (Personal Data Protection Act 2010) law. We train our employees in the proper handling of personal information. When we use other companies to provide services for us, we require them to protect the confidentiality of personal information they receive as well.
